Pattern Name: Azure Horizon Court

At first light, the coastal station opened its doors to travellers chasing a warmer horizon. Beyond the platform, a white courtyard waited beneath palms, tiled arches and a brilliant blue pool, its surface catching the sun like a polished poster from another age. A young illustrator named Elian arrived carrying only a battered case of pencils and a postcard his grandmother had kept since her honeymoon. On its faded front were the words, “Go where the light remembers you.”

He spent the afternoon sketching the courtyard: the proud arch became a gateway to possibility, the rising sun a promise of renewal, and the flowing water a symbol of journeys that continue even after people part. The central “M” stands for MODAKNITS, but also for memory, movement and meeting again. Palms suggest resilience; symmetrical columns express balance; the crisp geometry and decorative flourishes echo the optimistic glamour of Art Deco travel posters.

Before leaving, Elian placed his grandmother’s postcard beside the pool and realised that travel is not always about escaping. Sometimes it is about carrying love forward, beautifully.

He titled the design “Azure Horizon Court” — a tribute to destinations that become part of us long after the journey ends.
