Summit Embers tells the story of two brothers who spent every summer exploring the mountains with their father. Years later, after their father passed away, they returned to the lake where he had once taught them how to build a fire, read the weather and find their way home by the shape of the peaks.

They arrived at dusk and pitched a small tent beside the water. As the fire began to glow, neither brother spoke for a long while. Then one of them placed their father’s old lantern beside the flames. Its warm light reflected across the lake, and suddenly the silence no longer felt empty. It felt full of everything they had shared.

The mountains represent endurance and the strength built through difficult journeys. The lake symbolises memory and reflection, whilst the campfire represents warmth, connection and the parts of us that continue to burn long after someone has gone. The eagle above the peaks suggests freedom and perspective, reminding us to keep moving forward without forgetting where we came from.
